How To Install Downloader on "Android TV, Google TV, NVIDIA, TIVO stream 4K &Chromecast"
In this example, I am using an NVIDIA Shield, but this process works for any device running the Android TV operating system.
This also includes Tivo Stream 4K, Chromecast, Mi Boxes, and more.
1. Select the Google Play Store from the home screen.
2. Click the search icon.
3. Type in “downloader” and click Search.
4. Select Downloader by AFTVnews.
5. Click Install.
6. After installation return to the home screen.
7. Click Settings.
8. Scroll down and click Device Preferences.*If you do not see these settings try to apply them to your options. Or you can skip past step 12 to start installing the guide. YOU WILL be given an alert on going to settings to allow or verify apps.
9. Click Security & restrictions.
10. Click Unknown sources.
11. Within the Install unknown apps screen, find and click Downloader.
12. That’s it! The Downloader app will now say allowed for sideloading on your device.
1. To access the download page (no direct download) type https://cabotvdownload.org***If you get an error you need to install a quick plugin first. Type https://browser.aftvnews.com Install & then delete the file. Now continue with the instructions....
2. Wait for file to download.
3. Click Install.*if an alert pops up to go to settings to allow or verify app. Follow the settings & return to this page by pressing the back button. If not you reopen downloader & will find CaboMate in the filesfolder in the left menu.
4. Click Done.
5. This will take you back to Downloader. Click Delete.*You will also perform this step if found in the files folder.
6. Click Delete again.
7. Return to device home-screen and under “Your Apps & Channels” click See All.8. Scroll down to CaboMate & click the app.9. You have now installed CaboMate Guide.
